PST File

pst filePST stands for Personal Storage. It is a file format of MS Outlook and personal information manager of MS Office. It is a default file format of MS Outlook and used for both personal and official purpose. PST is a common MS Outlook format that opens with just one click.

Visit the File menu, point to Open and click the Outlook Data File to reach pst. files. Point the pst. file you want to open. Click “Ok” after that. It’s so simple.

PST easily carries emails with its properties including CC, BCC, Date, Time and attachments. It stores other important data like calendars, contacts, notes, messages, journals and events to manage your MS Outlook data smartly and in a well organized manner.

As PST is one of the most widely used file format of MS Outlook, its capacity has been improving with times. With Outlook 2003 and 2007, Personal Storage have 20 GB limit where with Outlook 2010 and 2013, its limit is 50 GB.

Note: Big-sized pst. Files cannot be opened in the Outlook. If you want to open them, it is essential to split such files. If you want to personalize the size of PST, customize it in the Windows registry.

The MS Outlook efficiently stores files containing Unicode characters like Chinese and Korean.

The files extension is specially designed for the full version of Outlook. It cannot be opened with other email clients like Apple Mail, Entourage. If Mac users wish to open PST data, they can use PST Converter Program.
